SPG Brisket & Steak Rub

Printer-Friendly version

1 1/2 Tbsp coarse ground black pepper (16 mesh)
2 1/4 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp granulated garlic

Mix to combine; use as a rub on brisket, roasts and steaks. The coarse black pepper facilitates bark development during smoking.

Makes enough for two one-pound steaks; doubled recipe makes enough for a three-pound roast. SPG stands for "salt, pepper, garlic".
