2 1/2 c wheat berries 1 1/2 c spelt flour 1/2 c barley 1/2 c millet 1/4 c lentils 2 Tbsp great northern beans 2 Tbsp kidney beans 2 Tbsp pinto beans 4 c warm (110 degrees F) water 1 c honey 1/2 c olive oil two 1/4 oz packages active dry yeast 2 Tbsp salt Grind all grains and beans to flour using a flour mill or whatever means are at hand. Mix in spelt flour and salt. Mix water, honey, olive oil and yeast in a large mixing bowl. Let sit 5 minutes. Mix flour into liquid until combined, then mix 10 minutes. Pour into two greased 9"x5" loaf pans, cover, and allow to rise for 1 hour. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45-50 minutes. This recipe was added: 28 October 2014 |
