1 cup sugar 3 Tbsp brown sugar 1/2 cup plus 1 Tbsp water 1/4 cup honey 1 stick cinnamon 1 tsp whole cloves 1/4 tsp maple flavoring Combine water, sugar, and brown sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. Cool and transfer to a large glass bottle. Yields about 1 1/2 cups. Adapted from Low-Fat, High Flavor Cookbook, p. 41.
