2 lb jar of picante salsa 2 lb ground beef enough of your favorite taco seasoning for 2 lb of meat 2 lb of Pasteurized, prepared cheese product (e.g. Velveeta), cubed 1 to 2 drops Mad Dog 357 hot sauce, to taste Prepare seasoned ground beef according to instructions on seasoning packet. Drain cooked ground beef well. Pour salsa into 4 quart sauce pan and place over medium heat. Add cheese a few cubes at a time, stirring constantly to insure cheese melts completely without sticking and burning. Let each additional amount of cheese melt completely before adding the next. When all cheese has been added and melted, add cooked, seasoned ground beef and hot sauce and continue to heat and stir for 3-4 minutes. This recipe was added: 8 July 2012 |
